KOKO Sips + Bites is a contemporary Asian fusion restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee that I co-own and operate with two of my close friends. Though I take on many roles as co-owner, one of my main jobs is to establish the brand identity and design print and digital material accordingly. From the menus to logo to the website, this design project dealt with numerous components. One of our main goals in terms of brand identity was to have a more modern take on the Asian sit-down restaurant while still maintaining an authentic quality. The resulting design is a youthful and playful aesthetic that reflects our backgrounds as Asian-American Tennesseans while also laying the ground for a warm and inviting restaurant identity.
We are strong believers that our eyes eat first, so not only does the food have to look delicious, but the brand and the environment we curate has to reflect this as well. Our intention with the branding and design is to accurately convey the energy we want to cultivate within our restaurant.
